Electric Cars

What about electric cars and why not make more?
I was a child in the 70's when electric cars occurred and it seems as if they see them more? Does anyone know why, other than they would be 30 years old now?
We hope to come back and be affordable in the near future as battery technology improves, but here's the run down on why they were only concepts or projects: 1 – Packages battery weighs 1000 lbs 2 – Batteries lose capacity full after 2.3 years in March – despite £ 1,000, the range was 40 miles or 80 mph, or 80 miles to 40 miles per hour. Not made anyone happy. 4 – "Filling" took 8-10 hours (recharge) 5 – Replacing the battery every few years cost was hundreds of $ $ 6 – The cost of cars was double that of a gas car in July – took the car batteries around the cargo space, however, I am part of an EV club myself, and between the lithium-ion technology and ultra capacators, we should see an affordable one in about 10 years or so. Maybe sooner. The 6000 Tesla electrical equipment used Lithium ion batteries and you're in a hundred thousand. $ 95,000.00 I believe. $ 45,000 just for the spare battery pack however. Give it time and come down. Meanwhile, get a diesel and B100 biodiesel to run or get a hybrid used. Hybrids fix all these problems because the battery pack (cost) can be very small, but you can still go 300 miles without stopping. Good luck with this question, I can tell you are in the right direction to make a difference. greencarcongress.com may interest you
