Electric Cars

electric cars
What about electric cars and why not make more?

I was a child in the 70's when electric cars occurred and it seems as if they see them more? Does anyone know why, other than they would be 30 years old now?

We hope to come back and be affordable in the near future as battery technology improves, but here's the run down on why they were only concepts or projects: 1 – Packages battery weighs 1000 lbs 2 – Batteries lose capacity full after 2.3 years in March – despite £ 1,000, the range was 40 miles or 80 mph, or 80 miles to 40 miles per hour. Not made anyone happy. 4 – "Filling" took 8-10 hours (recharge) 5 – Replacing the battery every few years cost was hundreds of $ $ 6 – The cost of cars was double that of a gas car in July – took the car batteries around the cargo space, however, I am part of an EV club myself, and between the lithium-ion technology and ultra capacators, we should see an affordable one in about 10 years or so. Maybe sooner. The 6000 Tesla electrical equipment used Lithium ion batteries and you're in a hundred thousand. $ 95,000.00 I believe. $ 45,000 just for the spare battery pack however. Give it time and come down. Meanwhile, get a diesel and B100 biodiesel to run or get a hybrid used. Hybrids fix all these problems because the battery pack (cost) can be very small, but you can still go 300 miles without stopping. Good luck with this question, I can tell you are in the right direction to make a difference. greencarcongress.com may interest you

Solar Energy (Pakistan Base)

"Solar energy"

by

Farooq Raza Qadri

Today in Pakistan we are facing shortages of most basic needs of life such as water, gas and electricity in particular. It's the worst conditions we face today. The reason for that is … Well we all know "the reasons" not us! Few days ago I was reading an article in a local newspaper was about how to obtain electricity and many European countries, which is "Wind Turbines". It is a very good idea and we have to think about other forms of energy to meet our needs. Another idea that I am going to discuss here is "Solar Energy." As we all know that the summer season is longer than the winter in Pakistan. Therefore, means we can get more sunlight and more. In my opinion Solar Energy Systems in Pakistan will be more successful than any European country, because, thank God we have more sunlight than Europe. Many scientists and engineers from around the world are working in this field. Some say it will be very expensive, it will be, but only in principle and all, as when new its price is high, but when competition arises, then lower their prices simple economics. We have used the sun to dry clothes and food for thousands of years, but only recently have we been able to use it to generate energy. The Sun is 150 million kilometers, and surprisingly powerful. Only the small fraction Solar energy reaching the Earth (around a hundredth of a millionth of a percent) is sufficient to meet all our energy needs many times. In fact, every minute, enough energy reaches the Earth to meet our demands for a whole year – if only we seize it properly and preserve it.

Here are some techniques that are used in many parts of the world to get energy from sunlight.

Cells solar (actually named "photovoltaic" or "photoelectric" cells) which convert sunlight directly into electricity. In a climate sunny, you can get enough power to run a 100 watt light bulb from just one square meter of solar panel. This was originally developed to provide electricity for satellites, but these days many of us own calculators powered by Solar Cells. Solar cells provide the energy to operate oribt satellites the Earth. This gives satellite TV, telephone, navigation, weather forecasting, the Internet and all sorts of other facilities

Solar water heating, where solar heat is used to heat water in glass panels on the roof. This means that there is no need to use gas or electricity to heat water both at home. Water is pumped through pipes in the panel.
The tubes are painted black, so hot when the sun shines on them. This helps your central heating system, and cuts fuel accounts. However, in very cold places, especially in winter you have to remember to drain the water to stop blocking panels. Solar heating, it is worthwhile in places like California, Australia, Southeast Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh) where it receives plenty of sunshine as I mentioned earlier.

Solar Torres An idea is being considered is the construction of solar towers. The idea is very simple – to build a large greenhouse, which is heated by the sun. In the center of the greenhouse you put a tower very high. The warm air in the greenhouse will rise up this tower, fast – and can drive turbines on the road. This could generate significant quantities of energy, especially in countries where there is plenty of sunshine and lots of room, and Australia.

Advantage

  • Solar energy is free – needs no fuel and produces no waste or pollution.
  • In sunny countries, energy Sun can be used when there is no easy way to get electricity to a remote location.
  • Useful for low power applications such as energy solar powered garden lights and battery chargers

Disadvantages

  • No evening work. (Positively thinking I'm going to cut our huge fuel and energy bills in half if we even have solar energy system on the day. So make it an insignificant disadvantage.)
  • Very expensive to build solar power stations.
Solar cells cost much compared with the amount of electricity they produce in their lifetime.
  • Can be unreliable unless you're in a climate very sunny. In the UK, solar energy is not used much, except for low power applications, as you need a large area of Solar Panels for a number Decent power. However, for these applications is definitely worth it.

Is it renewable?

Solar The power is renewable. The sun will shine anyway, so it makes sense to use it.

Why "the" professionals of Europe and America etc I think that to reduce the cost that we use our own labor, which is cheaper and hardworking. By the grace of Allah we have been blessed with everything in our country as skilled labor, raw materials and, especially, more and more sunlight! As I mentioned before Europe as the UK and many other countries problem facing the sun at all, but by the grace of Allah we have to face. We just need a good management of these things and work diligently. Inshallah 're going to succeed. Pakistan is a success. VIVA ARGENTINA!

Becoming an Amazon Affiliate:

Becoming an Amazon affiliate is a cool way to make money online. This is easy and does not require too much work. All you need is to have a website or a web blog to advertise Amazon’s products, Amazon pays you for that. Amazon.com is an online shop with a wide range of products from books to electronics, making it one of the best sites to link your shoppers to. What even makes it better is that Amazon is well known and trusted by those who shop online.

Melaleuca Medicine

How to mix a solution?

Ok. So there is a product for fish called Melafix. Its only ingredient (other than water, i assume) is a type of melaleuca called Cajeput Oil. Now this medicine runs for 9 dollars for a bottle that will treat my tank for a day… i need 7 days worth! I found the essential oil in its original form online for about 4 dollars. What I need to know is how much to mix with water to make it a 1% solution. it comes in a half or a 1 oz bottle, i will probably buy 1 full oz. so would i just take 1 oz of it and add it to 99 ozs of water? ( i cheated through highschool chemistry, i can remember this… but not how to do it!) Thanks! my fish thank you too

so would i just take 1 oz of it and add it to 99 ozs of water? well theoretically yes, but oils and water don’t mix. so it is likely there is another ingredient to stabilise an emulsion. Although I am a qualified chemist, I would not advise trying to make your own.

I am also a fish keeper but you should be aware there are on line discussions eg at http://www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk/forum/viewtopic_3802.php that suggest you should be very careful with this product.

Here in the UK a 4oz bottle of treatment is only $3.70. I’d double check you had the correct dosage and correct calculation of the volume of your tank. $9 for one days treatment does seem excessive!
