I'm doing a school project on recycling and plastic cutlery, facts?
I'm doing a huge project. I need facts and I think can not find any! Does anyone know how many plastic utensils are thrown away every day, week, year, etc in the U.S.? THANK YOU! PS if you have any other information about recycling, too, that would be great! (:
1.The average American uses 650 pounds of paper each year – 100 million tonnes wood could be saved each year if all that paper is recycled. 2.Americans use 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour. 3.A typical family consumes 182 gallons of soda, 29 gallons of juice, 104 gallons of milk and 26 gallons of bottled water per year. That's a lot of containers that can be recycled! 4.About 80% of what Americans thrown away is recyclable, yet our recycling rate is only 28%. Americans Month 5.Every throwing glass bottles and jars enough to fill a giant skyscraper (think at: Empire State Building), but all these jars are recyclable! 6.Plastic plastic garbage bags and thrown into the ocean kill as many as 1 million sea creatures every year! Ever heard Pacific Garbage Patch Great? Is twice the size of Texas and is floating somewhere in between San Francisco and Hawaii. It is also plastic 80 percent, and weighs 3.5 million tons. 7.Recycling a ton (about 2,000 pounds) of paper saves 17 trees, two barrels of oil (enough to make run the average car 1260 miles), 4,100 kilowatts of energy (enough power for the average home for six months), 3.2 cubic yards of landfill space, and 60 pounds of pollution. 8.The 17 trees saved by recycling one ton of paper can absorb a total of 250 pounds of carbon dioxide from the air each year. 9.If all recycled our newspapers, we could save about 250 million trees each year! If every American recycled just one tenth of their newspapers, could save about 25 million trees each year. 10.More 20 million Hershey's Kisses are wrapped each day, with 133 square miles of aluminum foil. Believe it not, ALL that paper is recyclable, but many people do not realize what the majority goes to waste! 11.Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to to operate a television for three hours. Despite this, Americans throw away enough aluminum to rebuild our entire commercial aircraft fleet every three months!

I live in Australia and have introduced Usana (Network Marketing) and wondered if anyone has done this and had success with it? Thanks
I will not lie about my true feelings when it comes to USANA. I think it's a business terrible to become involved and is managed by a group of corrupt people. To answer your question depends on what you mean by success. If you mean as a USANA opportunity to make money there are number of people who have had success with USANA but it comes at the expense of others do not. USANA is not a "minor" business is a "recruitment" business. Money is made by signing new members as you would see in a pyramid scheme. Only a small minority at the top of the pyramid actually see a benefit. All interested persons who wants to see a change of signature people have to meet a sales quota every four weeks in order to remain eligible for receive a refund. However, if the quota is not reached, the dealer will lose all points that have accrued but have not yet been paid. By subtracting these necessary purchases will notice that almost everyone is dealing with a loss. The sale of their products to people outside the company are not common because they cost so much. I am including the sources for you can look at.
What is the decline in the rate of conversion when a flag for an offer to go to a home page in front of a Landing Page.?
By Rental car example for $ 19.95 per day will flag corporate website, you must click the link to have special vs banner right of the page special offers. Is there an indicator that shows the bounce rate increase more the consumer has to click?
Certainly there are many studies show that all the obstacles placed in the path of the user (for example, requires finding a "special" in a home page) does that overall rates of conversion to drop. I certainly had the experience of taking over a client account AdWords and just change the destination URL of the page Home to the "right landing page, and saw increases of 50% to 100% in the conversion. At conferences, I have heard examples where the difference was 300% to 500%. Unfortunately, we do not have time to dig through my materials for the conference or do a search on the Internet – but I'm sure you can find some of these studies quite easily by doing some Google searches. Your question seems to be asking an average or typical, but meaningless – your site is what your site is. If the navigation is difficult, not intuitive, and requires several steps, then the difference of conversion rate will be high. If the navigation is simple ( example, if there is a huge banner or link on the home page appears), then the difference can be very small.
